Liquidity Management Syariah Bank

Both the conventional banks and Sharia bank must manage likuiditasnya, because likuditas management is needed to meet the obligations of the bank, especially short-term obligations. However there are some constraints in the management of liquidity in Sharia-based Bank of (bank islam) when compared with conventional banks, as banks with sharia-based, product-are spelled out new products, along with the age of the Sharia bank. The obstacles are namely:
1. Lack of access to obtain short-term funding;
2. Lack of access to the money market so that banks can only keep sharia liquidity in the form of cash
3. Operational constraints, difficulties in controlling the likuiditasnya efficiently, as an example of investment opportunities not available immediately on the funds it receives, difficulty investing the funds that are currently running so that result in the banks holding the tool likuidnya Islam in large numbers compared with the average conventional banking .
To anticipate this problem, there are several options that mostly done by the Islamic banks of emergency are:
1. To seek funds in the inter-bank money market based on the principles of Sharia with the various money market instruments that are available in the money market;
2. take the flowers and use it for social purposes based on the fatwa;
3. invested in the form of gold and / or other noble metal seara cash contract with the measure
4. save money in the bank to receive interest without conventional counterpart as the obtaining of the services.
